I for one consider this great art!!! Home made wall of death.
Spring have hit Copenhagen, day time is spent in t-shirt and jeans at the moment. Had a great afternoon yesterday with my good friend David. Walked all over our beautiful city while talking about great things, heh. I first met David during my stay at Bispebjerg Hospital some years back, he is a very interesting person and a great inspiration. I feel very lucky to have met him.

Can’t wait to see this documentary: “In a Dream”. Go check it out! There’s really alot of amazing documentaries out there, so if you’re into stuff like that here’s a few of my favorites:
“You’re Gonna Miss Me” - about Roky Ericson, one of the most influential musicians in our time.
“Dear Zachary” - heartbreaking story that almost doesn’t seem real.
“The Devil and Daniel Johnston” - big influence on the grounge/indie music genre.

New video above… After I started working with oil instead of acrylics, I had to change my work-style a bit; It was nessesary for me to be working on more than one painting at a time, because of the longer drying time of the paint. But this brought a new problem: space.

I work in my appartment and its pretty small as it is. So in order for me to be able to have more than one spot to work, I came up with the idea of making a shelf to put the wet canvases on. Luckily my good friend Nik B is a carpenter, so he came over… and within half an hour I had this really nice 3 meters long shelf hanging on my wall.

So now I can work on 4 paintings at a time = SOoo sweet!

On another note: I spent half the day fooling around with WordPress. This page is now created with it, so I dont have to hardcode html anymore. Plus it automaticly generates a xml file, so you can get the news rss feed now. Hey, thats pretty sweet too!

So I have lately decided 2 pretty big things involving my work; 1. I made the switch from acrylics to oil. Really dont have an idea why I hadnt done that before, but Im so glad I did. The second thing is that I have started filming myself work. I have no idea if anyone have any interest in seeing this, but I have always loved artist documentaries where you see them at work. So I figured that I would make a video podcast of me working. I would like to do a small weekly episode, but lets see what it turns out to be.

The new design is nearly done, and Im quite happy about the way it turned out. I would say that the design is based on the saying that less is more. The white content box is mainly based on showing my work in as good an invironment as possible on the internet. It’s meant to give the impression of the white walls of a gallery… if it works or not I’ll leave up to you. Anyways still a bit of minor tweeking to be done, and getting a profile written by a good friend.

I decided to re-design my website because Im about make an effort in finding some galleries who would be interested in showing my work. At the moment Im working on putting a portfolio together to be printed. While doing this Im also working on setting up a shared exhibition with some friends in the spring. More on this later.
